Graphic Designer Magazines, Digital & Promotional

We are a small, successful and ambitious company based in London’s West End.

We are looking for an experienced magazine designer who has a good understanding business news layouts and digital media.

That person will need to produce two monthly B2B publications (approx. 40 pages each), which alternate fortnightly. In addition, we have seasonal supplements, one-off publications and plans for a third B2B magazine.

On the digital side, we need to rapidly improve our somewhat limited single magazine website and launch a site for each of our two main publications, LIVE UK and Audience. We also want to have digital versions available online to subscribers as soon as possible, and develop other multi-media platforms.

We also need ot produce promotional material for our LIVE UK Summit conference (www.liveuksummit.com) and Live Music Business Awards (www.livemusicawards,co.uk) and feed their websites.

The right candidate will need to be hard-working, ambitious and self-motivated, with a good sense of humour.

We can offer a competitive basic salary, pleasant working environment and five weeks annual holiday.

You will work as part of a close-knit management team and the occasional direct contact with clients, so the role requires a good communicator who can understand and work to exacting briefs.

The Role

  • Designing magazines, HTML emails, digital ezines & websites.
  • Create design concepts and visuals for new business proposals.
  • Work closely with the management team and liaise directly with clients on projects.

Skills Required

  • Need to be fluent and creative in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and not obligatory, but desired Flash, HTML and CSS.
  • An understanding of digital media, from mobile to web to other digital channels.
  • Have 2+ years experience of working on consumer or trade magazines.
  • Strong project/time management and organisational skills.
  • Good verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Enthusiasm, drive and flexibility.
  • Ability to perform under occasional pressure.
