During the same period, more than 15,000 have graduated from one of Knowledge to Action’s subsequent training courses. In the past four years, Knowledge to Action has grown from 10 employees to more than 100, and in 2009, the company’s turnover topped £9million.

The Role

We are looking for an ideas driven copywriter who is versatile and can walk a mile in many different people’s shoes. You generate ideas, concepts and propositions and roll these out into multi-channel executions and guidelines. You are not just a headline copywriter though; you can turn your hand to writing body copy, press and articles.


  • Primarily Copywriting for email marketing but also for online environment including site content, banner advertisements, some offsite marketing campaigns. Some involvement with offline advertising and direct marketing initiatives
  • Support CRM initiatives with copy intended to persuade and drive readers to an action – direct marketing bias
  • Adapt offline materials for online purposes using proper word usage to ensure compliance with anti-spam legislation, and drive key conversion events
  • Provide custom copy based on user behavior and customer segments.
  • Conduct research as needed for assigned writing projects.
  • Collaborate with design, product managers and business owners to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives


  • Minimum 5 years experience as either a copywriter in online environments for a consumer or educational brand  (Anti-SPAM, SEO/SEM experience a plus)
  • Experience with Email marketing, interactive media and direct marketing
  • A strong understanding of direct marketing and advertising principles including demonstrated success in copy optimization for key conversion events, actions in email and web.
  • Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
